The Foundation launched our Open Awards Program in the spring of 2014 and we are thrilled to be celebrating four years of successfully funding a variety of projects across BCCDC’s priority areas. Over eight competitions, we have funded 36 diverse projects – from mathematical modelling to genomics, from harm reduction to global health – and have awarded $280,000 to support the efforts of BCCDC in achieving key research and knowledge translation outcomes. The Foundation is forever indebted for the skilled assistance of our Scientific Advisory Board, who volunteer their time to review the applications twice a year.
