The 9th annual BCCDC Research Week is taking place October 24-28, 2016. Join your colleagues for an action-packed week of workshops, presentation of fascinating and leading-edge research and of course some vital networking time. This year’s theme is Public Health: Global Challenges, Local Solutions; and we’ve integrated it into all aspects of the programme. From the keynote, to the workshops and the content of the presentations; we’re all about finding solutions right here at the BCCDC.

The workshops will take place in Lane Level Lecture Hall on Monday and Wednesday from 12:00-1:30pm. (note: if you haven’t already registered for Wednesday, we now have a waiting list!)

The Research Symposia will be in Lane Level Lecture Hall  on Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00am-12:30pm. The Tuesday Keynote is at 10:15 where Gina Ogilvie will speak on “Leading globally relevant research in a provincial health system: from idea to implementation”. Thursday’s Keynote will be at 11:20, when Thomas Kerr will discuss “Drug policy: Global challenges and local solutions”.

And don’t forget our Poster Scavenger Hunt, get the questions right for a chance to win fun prizes!

The BCCDC Foundation is pleased to sponsor Research Week for the 6th consecutive year. Congratulations to all the researchers and organizers for what is going to be a fabulous week!
