After nearly 12 years dedicated to the Foundation, Kristy Kerr is stepping down from her role as CEO. While we understand and respect her decision, we will miss her leadership. She has built the Pacific Public Health Foundation from the ground up, never wavering from her vision of what can be and how we should think about health. She truly sees a path forward for improved health and well-being for British Columbians.

As a passionate advocate for health promotion, equity, the determinants of health, and upstream, preventative actions, Kristy has always been steadfast and clear in vision. As she grew the organization and team, she secured investments and built partnerships, seeking solutions for some of BC’s most pressing and complex priorities.

“My decision to leave the Foundation was difficult. I depart proud, knowing that the Foundation will continue to make impacts in health, equity, and well-being for British Columbians. I wish my team and Board and all our amazing partners all the best—it has been a true privilege to get to work with so many incredible people—and I have utmost faith in the future of the Foundation and public health.”

– Kristy Kerr, CEO

We know that Kristy will remain passionate about public health, and we thank her for her dedication, expertise, and vision over the years. We will ensure that the organization can continue to advance our purpose and impact. A search process for Kristy’s successor is underway and Matthew Wright will be Acting CEO during this time.
